Question 1

How does EduTech use my Resource materials when creating lessons?

Accepted Answer

It infuses, it doesn't copy. The resources you select serve as reference context for the AI — they aren't pasted into your lesson. For each checked resource, the system compiles its details (Resource ID, type, grade, subject, topic, standards) plus its extracted text into a reference block attached to every part of the generated lesson: objectives, teaching plan, assessment, supplemental materials, and subject-specific materials. For file-based resources like worksheets, labs, and reading passages, the actual file is attached so the AI can read it directly.

The AI is instructed to stay faithful to the source material — aligning its output with the topics, terms, methods, and structure of your curriculum — and to cite the Resource ID when it references a resource. So your generated lessons mirror your curriculum's terminology, scope, and sequence, but the objectives, teaching steps, assessments, and worksheets are written fresh for your grade level and lesson type.

One exception: autofill. When you pick a resource as the lesson's source, EduTech pulls the lesson title and the teacher manual / workbook page numbers directly from that resource. Those metadata fields come straight from the source; everything else is AI-authored.

And it's always your call: resources are hand-selected for each lesson, so nothing is used automatically. If no resources are selected, the AI generates purely from your standards and subject.

Question 2

Which standards does EduTech support? Can I use my own state's?

Accepted Answer

EduTech uses Ohio state standards, organized by subject and grade level so they load automatically as you plan. Not every subject is fully loaded yet — some subjects are complete, while others have partial coverage while we continue adding to them.

That's no obstacle to planning, though. If your subject isn't fully covered yet, you can upload your own standards file (CSV or Excel) — EduTech parses it, maps the subject, grade, code, and description, and stores them so they behave exactly like the built-in standards.

You can also pull in standards from other grade levels for any lesson; EduTech teaches that content at your students' grade level.

Question 3

What lesson types can I generate, and how does length affect the output?

Accepted Answer

EduTech generates 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute lessons, two-day lessons, five-day units, plus intervention and enrichment lessons. The generated content is scaled to the type you pick — shorter lessons get a tighter set of objectives and steps, while multi-day units expand to fill the full duration, with realistic time estimates on every teaching step.

Beyond the core plan, you can add supplemental materials with one click: printable worksheets, parent communication, vocabulary lists, exit tickets, quizzes with answer keys, homework, and fill-in-the-blank notes.

Question 4

Is Biblical integration required?

Accepted Answer

No — it's completely optional. Biblical integration is a setting your school controls. Faith-based schools can include a brief, meaningful connection between each lesson's theme and biblical principles with scripture support; secular classrooms simply turn it off and never see it.

Question 5

Which subjects and grade levels does EduTech cover?

Accepted Answer

All 17 subjects — Math, Science, English Language Arts (plus Reading, Spelling, Grammar, and Writing), Social Studies, History, Bible, Fine Arts, Music, Physical Education, Health, Technology, Foreign Language, and more — across grades K–12.

Each subject also gets its own set of subject-specific materials (like lab write-ups for Science or guided reading routines for ELA) that the AI weaves directly into your lesson plans.

Question 6

How does pricing and billing work?

Accepted Answer

Every teacher starts free — core features with 3 lesson activities per month (Curriculum Maps is a paid-only feature). When you need unlimited plans, paid tiers are billed annually per teacher: Single Teacher ($69/yr), 5–9 teachers ($59/teacher/yr), 10–24 teachers ($49), and 25+ teachers ($35). You can cancel anytime.

For homeschool families, plans are billed annually per family: Single Family ($49/yr) and 5+ families ($39/family/yr) for co-ops and groups.

Individual teachers can sign up free on their own; for teams, a school or team lead purchases a plan and invites their teachers — no separate purchases needed for each staff member.

Question 7

Who owns the lessons and resources I upload?

Accepted Answer

You do. The lessons you create, the resources you upload, and your curriculum data belong to you and stay in your workspace. Your uploads are used only to generate your own lesson plans, and you can edit or delete any resource or lesson at any time.

Question 8

What are Curriculum Maps and which plans include them?

Accepted Answer

Curriculum Maps let you generate a full year-long, standards-aligned curriculum from any state's standards. The AI organizes your standards into 6–10 thematic units in a logical teaching sequence, each with its own standard codes, learning targets, and target lesson count.

From each unit, you can create lesson plans directly — the subject, grade, standards, and lesson number are all pre-filled, and you can include a recap of any prior lesson in the same unit for continuity.

Curriculum Maps is a premium feature available on all paid plans (Single Teacher and above). The free plan includes full access to lesson planning, standards alignment, and the resource library, but not Curriculum Maps.
